This tool equips your Mates with a full suite of location-based capabilities, allowing them to act as your team's built-in navigation and research expert. They can now:

• ℹ️ Retrieve Place Details: Need a phone number, website, or the opening hours for a specific business? Your Mate can now retrieve that information instantly.

• 🚗 Calculate and Provide Routes: Get turn-by-turn directions for driving, walking, or cycling between any two points on the globe, complete with travel time and distance.

• 🗺️ Geocode and Validate Addresses: Your Mates can now convert addresses into precise map coordinates and, even better, understand and correct typos in addresses to ensure your requests are always accurate.

How to Get Started

Activating the Google Maps Services Tool is simple:

1. Create the Tool Instance: Navigate to Mates & Tools > Tool Store. Search for Google Maps Services and click + Create instance. You will need to provide your own Google Maps API Key in the credentials section.

2. Attach it to Your Mate: Go to Manage Mates and select the Mate you want to empower. Open the Tools tab, click + Attach tool, and select the instance you just created.

3. Update and Save: Click the Update button to save the new tool to your Mate.

That’s it! Your Mate is now ready to navigate the world.
